Terms of Use
Effective October 10, 2026
The short version:
- Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed to your Apple ID. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
- Your data is encrypted with keys only your devices hold. We cannot recover lost data, backups or a forgotten PIN, so keep your own backups and recovery codes.
- Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the 2FA Live app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, including its widgets and AutoFill extension (the "App"). "We", "us" and "our" refer to the developer of 2FA Live. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). The Apple EULA is the license agreement for the App. These Terms add details specific to 2FA Live. If they conflict, the Apple EULA applies.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple EULA and the App Store Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the App, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
2. Free and Premium features
The free version lets you store up to 5 two-factor accounts and up to 3 passwords. Premium removes these limits and unlocks cards, secure notes, Wi-Fi, widgets, Apple Watch, AutoFill, folders, the 30-day trash, the breach check and password health. We may change which features are free or Premium. If we remove a feature you have paid for during a subscription period, you keep it until that period ends.
3. Subscriptions
- Plans. Premium is offered as weekly, monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. The price and period of each plan are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Free trials and offers. If we offer a free trial or introductory price, its terms are shown before you buy. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Apple will notify you as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the App or use a new device with the same Apple ID, tap Restore Purchases in the App's Settings.
4. Your data and your responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you store in the App and for keeping access to it. In particular:
- We cannot recover your data. Your vault items are stored on your device and, if you turn on iCloud Sync, encrypted with a key only your devices hold. We have no copy and no way to restore it.
- Keep a way back into your accounts. Save the recovery codes that websites give you when you turn on two-factor authentication. Keep them somewhere other than the App, so losing your device does not lock you out.
- Back up regularly. Use iCloud Sync or export encrypted backups. Keep your backup password safe: without it, a backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
- App lock. If you set a PIN, remember it. We cannot reset or recover it.
- Passkeys stay on one device. Passkeys created by the App are kept in that device's Secure Enclave. They are not synced or backed up, and they are lost if the device is lost, reset or the App is deleted. Add another sign-in method to each account that uses one.
- Keep your device secure. Use a device passcode and keep your Apple ID secure.
5. Acceptable use
Use the App only for lawful purposes and only with accounts and data you are allowed to use. Do not try to break, overload or get around the App's security or subscription checks.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on services we do not control, including Apple's App Store, iCloud and CloudKit, RevenueCat for subscription status, and Have I Been Pwned for the breach check. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible if they are unavailable or change. Codes the App shows are generated according to the settings each website provides. If a website changes its two-factor setup, you may need to set up the account again.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access to accounts, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Cancel any active subscription separately in iOS Settings. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously break these Terms. Sections 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12 continue after termination.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in its courts.
12. Apple
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Questions go to us at the address below.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
